Suicide

Do you ever have this sudden urge to take your own life? Do you ever feel you're better dead than alive? If I'm to answer, my answer would be a YES.

Like the common joke "If you're a nigerian, life leads you 1-0, if you're not rich, that's 2-0".

Every year over 800,000 persons commit suicide. The question I ask myself is not why but are the reasons for suicide the same? When 50 people commit suicide, is it because of the same reason? In a way; YES.

79% of global suicides occur in low and middle-income countries. One MAJOR determinant of life is money. They say money answereth all things. I believe so and I think you should too. Suicide to some is not an option but yet, others do it so I say it is an option but not just a favorable one. Don't you think those who commit suicide will feel bad after knowing they have put some other people in sadness? I believe in one thing which is HAPPINESS. Do whatever makes you happy; but when your happiness is at the detriment of a loved one what then do you do? My answer is this; you come first before any other person irrespective of who the person is. If you feel taking your life is what's best for you, why not? It might sound stupid but the truth is one who commits suicide at that point cares only about himself and no one else.

I'm not to be a judge of why you shouldn't commit suicide but I'll tell you that it can be an option but then even though it can be an option, it isn't the wisest thing to do, instead face the problem with your chest and tackle it with all you've got and you'll see how far you can go. Talk to people, you never can tell who you'll meet to change your situation, you can't do it alone.

If people can conquer the quest of suicide in them and live fine afterwards, then why can't you?

  1. This is insightful! When you feel like committing suicide, know that it's a condition in life which is not permanent - it will change. It will for the better-sooner, or later.
