Handling Breakups

Handling breakups can be tricky. No two relationships are the same but you can have same recovery stages.

“If you want to forget someone, never hate him/her. Everyone that you hate is engraved upon your heart; if you want to let go of something, if you want to forget, you cannot hate.” – C. Joybell C.

This is a big stage in handling breakups. No doubt that both parties feel bad after a breakup except there was never love. They say it takes great courage to get over someone but I say it all depends on time and chance. In my opinion, time and chance is the wheel on which life rides. As different injuries have healing processes, so do our hearts. An injury might be exposed to dirt, and improper treatment which takes longer to heal; that's chance.

“The heart was made to be broken.” – Oscar Wilde.

The heart must be broken for it to love. Look at it connotatively. When a parent breaks a child's heart, he doesn't because of that disown the parent. When a door closes, its an opportunity to other doors and not a cell.

"At some point, you have to realize that some people can stay in your heart but not in your life." - Sandi Lynn.
In the end, some things are not meant to be. People also expire. The yorubas that say 20 friends cannot play for 20 years have their reasons why. The realization that a person has to leave your life is very germain to moving on from a breakup.
